Drew Barrymore's delight of a face always draws us in. She's ever-youthful and effervescent. And at 47, the actress, talk-show host and mom of two looks better than ever. When she shared her "skincare routine for when I really want to treat myself" on TikTok this month, it felt like having a spa day with our bestie.
If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And even those without Prime get free shipping on orders of $25 or more).
Barrymore signals the start of her beauty routine with a wave of a reusable Garnier cleansing pad — because good skin starts with a gentle cleansing (and a good conscience begins with Earth-friendly choices).
Amazon has Garnier Eco Pads on sale for just $9 (was $10.50). One shopper reports: "These things are legit. Absorbent. Gentle. And best of all…superb quality!"
"Loving this stuff," Barrymore said, holding up Glow Recipe on TikTok and patting it onto her face.
It's on sale for $30 right now at Amazon. One very pleased shopper writes: "The area around my eyes looks less 'tired' and more hydrated. I use it every AM before applying concealer and reapply after cleansing my face before turning in for the evening."
For even more moisture, Barrymore slathers goe oil on her arms and elbows. Amazon has this 3-oz tube of Jao Brand Goe Oil listed at $59, which isn't exactly a low-budget choice, but five-star fans say you don't need much. "This honestly transformed my skin," writes a devotee. "I would use this straight out of the shower on my damp skin head to toe, and once you apply the balm it turns into a soft buttery oil that sinks into your skin. Try to use it on damp skin; you’ll get really soft and moisturized skin. A little goes a long way."
Barrymore also uses a gua sha tool on her face with gentle yet deliberate upward strokes. We aren't sure where she found hers, but it resembles the rose quartz tool in Amazon's No. 1 bestselling facial kit — now just $12 with the on-page coupon (down from $25). The goal? To reduce puffiness, improve fine lines and firm the skin. Over 32,000 shoppers have given this set a five-star rating! Writes one: "New staple in my skincare...I pop it in the freezer before use and it feels like a spa in my own home. Surprisingly high quality for the price."
Fabio Jakobsen avoided the pitfalls of a chaotic finish to stage two of the Tour de France to deliver an emotional victory in Nyborg, Denmark. Jakobsen, making his Tour debut less than two years after suffering life-threatening injuries in a crash at the Tour of Poland, stayed clear of late spills at the end of the 202.5km stage from Roskilde to come around Mads Pedersen and beat Wout van Aert - who consoled himself by taking the yellow jersey. The day had been designed to build up to fireworks on the 18km-long Great Belt Bridge in the finale, but it was after the peloton returned to dry land that the key incidents occurred as a crash blocked the road inside the final three kilometres, leaving a select group of sprinters to contest the honours.
KYIV/KONSTYANTYNIVKA, Ukraine (Reuters) -At least three people were killed and dozens of homes damaged in the Russian city of Belgorod near the Ukraine border, the regional governor said on Sunday, as Kyiv acknowledged it could lose its last big bastion in eastern Ukraine to Kremlin forces. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a number of blasts in the city of nearly 400,000 some 40km (25 miles) north of the border with Ukraine. Senior Russian lawmaker Andrei Klishas accused Ukraine of shelling Belgorod and called for a military response.
The number for June - the highest monthly total this year - appears to cast doubt on government claims that its Rwanda scheme will lead to fewer people risking their lives in dinghies. Nearly 7,000 people have made the perilous crossing since Home Secretary Priti Patel announced the policy on 14 April, according to data collected and analysed by Sky News. The scheme has been criticised as "cruel and nasty" by charities but defended by the government as "the morally right thing to do".
Unless you don’t care what price you get for your car, selling can often be a long and drawn-out experience. This is especially true if you choose to sell privately – which often involves dealing with multiple potential buyers, going out on test drives, and haggling over the selling price – all with no guarantee of a sale at the end.
Crowds – which Sadiq Khan’s office said were made up of more than one million revellers – in rainbow colours and wearing face paint, glitter, jewels and sequins gathered on Saturday for what was also the first Pride in London since the outbreak of the pandemic. Floats lined Park Lane ahead of the main march through the capital, which was led by Gay Liberation Front (GLF) activists holding placards saying “I was there in 1972” and that they are “still fighting” for global LGBT+ freedom.
