Drive-by shooting in Tewkesbury as BB gun fired at woman

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a pellet from a BB gun fired from a passing car in Tewkesbury. The incident occurred on High Street around 9.45pm on Saturday (June 15).

The victim reported that she was walking down the path when the rear passenger of a passing car rolled down the window and shot at her with a BB gun. She felt a plastic pellet strike near her nose, leaving a small red mark.

The assailant was described as a white man in his early 20s with light-coloured hair. The vehicle involved was a navy blue BMW estate which sped off towards Mythe Bridge following the incident.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen the car or been targeted themselves to come forward. They are also interested in any dashcam or CCTV footage that could be relevant. Information can be provided online by completing the online form and quoting incident 433 of June 15.
