Drunk, bloodied and screaming airline passenger restrained by other travellers in disturbing video

A drunk airline passenger who was covered in his own blood had to be restrained by other travellers when he started screaming.

Disturbing video has emerged online of the incident, which took place on a flight operated by the Red Wings airline from Moscow in Russia to Antalya, Turkey.

Footage shows the drunk man, with his jeans and shirt covered in blood, screaming on board the flight.

He punches the seat in front of him as blood drips down his face and on to his arms and his clothes.

Most of the other passengers, including a child in the seat in front of the man, look on in fear during his tirade.

However, the woman beside him manages to keep her cool and stares out of the window.

After cabin crew tried unsuccessfully to calm the man down, he was restrained by his fellow passengers.

The man had his hands tied together while lying across two seats.

It is believed his outburst on the plane lasted for almost an hour.

When the plane reached its destination, police were waiting to arrest him on the ground.
