Dwayne Johnson sends Davina McCall message of support after she reveals obsession with star

Last week, Davina McCall revealed that she is a huge fan of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and that she messages him on Twitter “all the time” in a “sad, fan way” because she is desperate to get his attention.

Well, the star has finally got her wish, with The Rock finally responding to her love with a sweet message of support.

After being told about Davina’s kind words, Dwayne told The Sun that he will “look out for her on Twitter”, adding: “It’s amazing to have somebody saying such complimentary things about you.

“Davina seems like she has a lot of positive energy herself, because saying nice things about others is a big sign that you are confident in yourself.

“She is going through a difficult time at the moment, so my advice to her is to just keep on going.”

Giving the TV presenter advice on her recent split from husband Matthew Robertson, Dwayne said that Davina should “talk things out” and “not go through it alone”.

He also praised her decision to channel the heartache of her separation into something positive, with the star showing off her incredible body in the months after the break-up.

He said: “Is working out good medicine? Absolutely. The thing with getting in shape is it takes real focus.

“While you are focusing on that you are essentially training you brain from getting away from any current problems to getting into shape — and your brain does it without even knowing.”

The comments will no doubt be warmly received by Davina, who had made her fangirl revelation during a chat on the podcast Is It Just Me? with former Glamour editor Jo Elvin.

She said at the time: “I think Dwayne Johnson is hardworking, gives more than is expected, funny… I want to meet him but in a sad, fan way. He’s so big, I’d have to climb up his thigh.

“I’m literally sending him messages all the time.

“I have a blue tick next to my name so I’m sort of thinking, ‘Do you think Dwayne Johnson is going to look at his tweets and go, ‘Oh hang on, there’s a blue tick from a British girl, I’m gonna click on her. And oh, she seems like a nice person, I’m going to answer her’?”

Later, Davina was forced to take to Twitter to deny that she was after Dwayne in a romantic way, sharing a headline that said that she wants to “marry” the star and writing: “Funniest story of the year so far ! That I’m secretly messaging @TheRock because I’m newly single! He is v happily married ( I hope) I do think he is fab tho [sic]”.

Last November, Davina confirmed that she and her husband of 17 years were splitting, however, the pair are thought to be on good terms and have maintained a strong relationship for the sake of their children, 16-year-old Holly, 14-year-old Tilly, and 11-year-old Chester.
