Tonight (May 23) was the second episode of ITV's A&E Live, a real-time look inside the accident and emergency department of Leeds General Infirmary.
The series is presented by Davina McCall and sees her talking to patients and staff in the hospital, as well as showing previously recorded footage.
While the programme has led to an outpouring of love for the hard and difficult work done by NHS staff, on tonight's episode it felt like Davina was getting in the way a bit.
Many viewers took to Twitter to complain that Davina wasn't letting patients and staff finish answering the questions she asked.
While it was probably because the show was running on a tight schedule, it was pretty annoying for those watching at home.
Fantastic what the NHS staff do! Definitely deserve more credit and money than they get. Shame Davina McCall can't let anyone finish a sentence though! #AandELive- Lee (@Meach86) May 23, 2018
Is this 'A&E Live' or 'Davina Interrupting A&E Live'? Damn woman let them explain things! #AandELive- Mark (@tatts2201) May 23, 2018
Wish bloody Davina would stop butting in all the time. Let people talk #AandELive- paul smith (@yeadonowl) May 23, 2018
Great program showing the excellent work done by all NHS staff but spoilt by Davina constantly interrupting people and talking over them, better presenters out there that should have presented this show #AandELive- Steve Evans (@welshdragon64) May 23, 2018
Why does Davina keep finishing people's sentences for them? Bloody rude! And very irritating to watch. #AandELive- Lucy Morris (@LucyMorris91) May 23, 2018
Davina asking questions then rushing everyone as they try to reply 😡 cringe! #AandELive- Sheree Bee (@ShereeKayBee) May 23, 2018
Davina, you’ve asked them questions. Give them a chance to answer said question and stop constantly interrupting them. Jesus 😒 #AandELive- Pirate Angel (@CaitlinM__) May 23, 2018
#AELive Bloody hell Davina, stop interupting people when they're talking- ᴛom (@Tom139uk) May 23, 2018
Davina is even interrupting a little kid! Why does she always interrupt people 😂 #aandelive- Zoe Savage (@zoesavagexo) May 23, 2018
However, there were some who praised Davina for being a compassionate and sensitive host.
The presenter even used her own life experiences to help talk to one patient, who had been taken to the hospital after suffering a seizure.
While in the ambulance, the man revealed that he had attempted suicide a few weeks ago, and told Davina: "To tell you the truth I don't even want to be alive anymore."
After hearing the man's story, Davina told him: "I was a heroin addict. It was such a mess, I had nothing. But you can be the master of your own destiny."
@ThisisDavina “you are the master of your own destiny” you are an inspiration Davina , thanks for being you x- Matt Eagles ]]>🧠
