The Eagles will perform the album Hotel California in its entirety at two huge London stadium shows next summer.

The band — now made up of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit, Deacon Frey and Vince Gill — will visit Wembley Stadium on August 29 and 30, the bank holiday weekend.

They will be joined by a full orchestra and choir as they play through their famed 1976 release, and will also deliver a greatest hits set on both nights.

These Wembley shows will be their only European concerts in 2020.

Eagles last played the north London venue in the summer of 2019. The Evening Standard was at the show, and praised the band’s “steely professionalism”, while also noting “there is a tenderness to their best work”.

Reviewer Rick Pearson added: “An encore of Hotel California and Desperado was predictably brilliant, but it’s the set closer, Best Of My Love, that resonates longest.” Read the full four-star review here.
