Eamonn Holmes has hinted at significant changes to his breakfast show in a recent Instagram post on Sunday evening.

The update follows reports from the Mirror that the broadcaster is set to make a public appearance at an awards event, despite the recent announcement of his impending divorce from co-presenter Ruth Langsford. While Ruth has taken a break since the news, Eamonn has been actively presenting on GB News and is in the running for the 'News Presenter' TRIC Award next week, reports the Mirror.

On social media, Eamonn shared insights into the alterations at his workplace, stating in an Instagram video: "Here we are, it is Sunday and I am in work. But you may think, 'He is not at work, this is different, there is something different about this', we have had a set redesign. It is quite similar but very different for us."

Discussing the specifics, he added: "It is very different in terms of lighting, very different in terms of the height of the desk, the curvature of the desk. It used to be straight and now it's quite curvy. And I am going to sit on a different side of the table," also mentioning where he and co-host Isabel will sit.

Wrapping up his message, Eamonn expressed hopes for the programme's continued success and the potential TRIC Award win: "Hopefully the programme will be as good as ever and we win a TRIC Award on Tuesday to prove it. Anyway this is the new look, give me a wee text, give me your view of what you think, do you like it? I hope you do, see you in the morning, 6am until 9.30am."

Fans quickly filled Eamonn's post with excited comments. One eager follower said: "I look forward to 6am for the big reveal."

Another added: "You look good at any set Eamonn! looking forward to it! ".

A third fan observed: "I never did like the straight table, it looked very rude when you were talking to one of guests and had to turn your back on the other guest, so I love this curved one more professional". "Absolutely perfect looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning," another chimed in.

Eamonn's co-host Isabel also shared news about the GB News studio revamp on her Instagram stories, simply writing: "Come and check out our shiny new set."

Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel has been nominated for a TRIC Award, alongside Good Morning Britain, BBC Breakfast, and BBC News at Six.

In an earlier post, Eamonn expressed his delight at the nomination, writing: "Just found out Breakfast on @gbnews has made the shortlist of nominations for a @tricawardsuk for Best News Programme 2024. This was the moment, last year when we won! We were stunned and delighted. What's special about the TRICS is they're entirely based on public votes. Huge thanks to all who voted again this year - putting us in the top 4 is a huge honour! We're up against GMB, BBC Breakfast and BBC News at 6. Wish us luck! The ceremony is at the end of June."
