Eamonn Holmes has reportedly been growing closer to a relationship counsellor who is 22 years his junior, amidst the media storm surrounding his split from Ruth Langsford.

The GB News presenter, 64, caused quite a stir in the celebrity world when news broke of his impending divorce from his wife.

Holmes has remained largely silent about the separation, only expressing gratitude to his GB News audience for their support towards both him and Ruth, also 64. However, it's believed that he's been finding solace with Katie Alexander, 42, a mother of three from Yorkshire.

Katie is said to have made visits to Eamonn's new home over recent weekends, as he has moved out of the Surrey home he once shared with Ruth. She has been spotted at his temporary residence in South West London, travelling from her Yorkshire home, reports The Sun.

This development follows after a photograph surfaced last week showing Eamonn at a safari park in February, with a blonde woman seen through the rear window of the vehicle, reports the Mirror.

Amidst these revelations, it's understood that Ruth discovered messages on Eamonn's laptop, which were exchanged with an unidentified woman. A source disclosed to The Sun on Sunday said: "Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages. She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry."

Eamonn reportedly met Katie after she engaged with one of his posts on X, previously known as Twitter. He attended a charity fundraiser in Yorkshire last October, not far from where Katie resides, and subsequently became a patron, reports claim.

Ruth is said to be 'angry' upon discovering their friendship, which was news to her when it became public. Yet, the Loose Women presenter has found solace among friends, including Lucy Alexander from Homes Under The Hammer, who showed her support last week.

Ruth shared on social media that she's been spending time with her mother and cherished dog, Maggie, in the garden. Lucy responded to her post, saying: "Just what you need - mum and Maggie cuddles... I reckon you should have a swig of Joan's sherry [laughing emoji] love you."

The marriage of Ruth and Eamonn, once seen as a television power couple with successful careers, was reportedly "over" in May.

A statement from the spokespersons of Ruth and Eamonn announced: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

The pair had been together for 27 years before deciding to part ways. Despite the split, both have been observed still wearing their wedding rings; Eamonn made a return to GB News and Ruth was seen out and about in Surrey.

Since the story emerged, sources suggest Eamonn felt "blindsided" by the announcement, allegedly manoeuvred by his former wife. While Ruth has remained silent on the matter, Eamonn has already expressed gratitude towards those who have shown him support.
