Eamonn Holmes gave his fans a good laugh as he shared a mocked-up photo of him and 'good pal' actress Victoria Smurfit and joked about their 'sizzling sexual chemistry'. The pair's faces were placed on top of John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara in the western romance The Quiet Man.

"Haha this made me laugh. Me and my good pal @Victoriasmurfit as John Wayne & Maureen O’Hara in The Quiet Man. Simmering sexual chemistry," Eamonn, 64, wrote alongside the post on Instagram, adding several smiling emojis.

Victoria, 50, known for playing Orla O'Connell in the BBC television series Ballykissangel and Cruella de Vil in Once Upon a Time, replied: "Ha! That was such a fun day! Look at us, we’re fabulous [crying with laughter emojis]. You’ll always be my John Wayne."

Fans replied with laughing emojis, while others added 'love it!' The GB News presenter has been happily married to wife Ruth Langsford since 2010.

The former This Morning duo first met in 1997 when their mutual friend, TV presenter Sally Meen, introduced them in London while Eamonn was working as a GMTV host. Two years prior, Eamonn had split from his first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, who is the mother of his three eldest children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall.

The pair have admitted their relationship isn't perfect and they've had their fair share of rows, but Ruth explained: "I would say laughter is what keeps us together. Eamon's very good actually. We have a very equal relationship, it's very equal in our marriage.

"People will say, 'who wears the trousers?' well nobody. You find your way, he's not the boss and I'm not the boss – in modern relationships that's probably how it should be."

Ruth also previously addressed how they keep the spark in their relationship, previously telling the Mirror: "Eamonn is my biggest fan and always makes me feel really sexy.

"When I think I'm at my slimmest he thinks I'm too thin. He likes me curvy – he loves boobs, bottoms and legs. I'm really lucky because it would be awful to have a man who commented on me piling on the pounds."

When he needed a hip replacement in 2016, he blamed Ruth and their hearty sex life for his op. He told the Mirror: "I'm facing a two-week double hip operation, she wore them out, she's got to help wear them in." Ruth comically added: "The doctor says no hanky panky and no strong exercise."
