East Kilbride set to sign former Hamilton Accies midfielder after he turned them down last season

East Kilbride are set to complete the signing of midfielder Reegan Mimnaugh - one year after he turned them down.

The 22-year-old was a target for Kilby last summer but League One Queen of the South pipped the Lowland League champions to his signature, when EK boss Mick Kennedy thought a deal had been done with his side.

However, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands Kennedy has finally got his man after the player met with the club at K-Park last night to agree a deal.

Mimnaugh made just 11 appearances for the Doonhamers under former boss Marvin Bartley last season, as an injury in September brought his campaign to an abrupt halt. He underwent surgery at the start of the year and is now fit and raring to go.

The Wishaw man joined Hamilton Accies in 2018 and played 26 games in the Premiership during his five-year stint, before joining Queens.

Mimnaugh would become Kilby's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of midfielder Jack Leitch, winger Broque Watson and centre-back Jordan McGregor earlier in the month.
