Shona Halford Theatre School bring their latest stage show Jukebox Jive to East Kilbride Village Theatre this spring.

The year is 1956 and in a little town outside New York, Uncle Angelo’s Ice Cream Parlour is the place to go. Kids meet over their shakes and ice cream, rocking and rolling to the swinging sounds of the old jukebox.

When Uncle Angelo suddenly passes away, movie star Deanna la Domme appears on the scene and claims the ice cream parlour, threatening to sell it at the end of the week.

What can they do? Will they be able to prove that Deanna la Domme is a fake? Will they find Uncle Angelo’s secret will and save the day? And what will happen to the cleaner Joey Nobody who has nowhere else to go?

This rock ‘n’ rolling musical is not to be missed and runs from Thursday, May 23, till Saturday, May 25. Curtain up 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Tickets cost £17.50 and are available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.

Established in 2005 Shona Halford MTDA nurtures the talents of hundreds of local kids from its Langlands studio.
