Yahoo News EastEnders' Ian and Cindy Beale reunite 20 years on
EastEnders' iconic couple Ian and Cindy Beale, aka Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins, just reunited and for a brief moment we felt like it was 1998 all over again.
The pair were one of the soap's most disastrous couples, but managed to keep things together for around a decade until Cindy met her demise.
Now (and not for the first time) the pair have reunited in real life. Michelle, 56, and Adam, 49, were at the launch of her new skincare range – and we're guessing it works pretty well as she looks great!
On Albert Square, Cindy had an affair with Simon Wicks, among others, and eventually fell pregnant and hired a hitman to kill poor Ian, before dying off-screen.
Michelle went on to join Coronation Street in 2011 to play Stella Price and left the soap a few years later in 2014, although she has mentioned she'd consider returning.
The actress has definitely ruled out ever returning to EastEnders, though. She told The Sun: "I've always dismissed it because she's been dead, so in a way they sort of did me a favour because I can never really go back. But in a way I think I'd spoil it if I go back.
"It's quite nice having that mystery about her. It's flattering that people still remember her and that's she's become this iconic sort of character, really."
Since leaving the show, Michelle has appeared in Casualty, Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders and Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
As for Ian Beale – who's the soap's longest serving character – his murderous son made a brief comeback to the Square recently, which shocked viewers massively.
