EastEnders' Lauren Branning finally learns the truth about her sister Abi's big baby betrayal in explosive scenes next week.
Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) is currently hiding the fact she's pregnant with Steven Beale's baby – having had a secret affair with him prior to his death.
So far, her friend Donna Yates is the only person who knows the whole truth but upcoming scenes will see the past start to catch up with Abi, leading to all her lies being exposed.
A bad week for Abi will kick off with her fearing for her future after she gets fired from the vets and loses her job at The Vic all in one go.
With Abi worried about how she's going to survive financially, she makes the bizarre decision to try on Lauren's wedding dress again, on the day of her planned marriage to Steven.
But when Lauren catches her sister in the act, Abi is unable to keep quiet about what's been going on any longer and blurts out that she was in love with Steven.
With the shocking secret out in the open, Lauren struggles to get her head around everything, and the sisters soon find themselves in a blazing argument as further truths emerge.
As things escalate, Lauren is further stunned to discover Abi has kept hold of Steven's ashes – leading her to take matters into her own hands.
Fans will have to wait and see what a furious Lauren does next, but by the end of the week the warring siblings take a more mature approach to the situation as they sit down and discuss a sensible way forward.
Feeling calmer, Lauren tries to see things from her sister's perspective and even considers forgiving her – until Abi drops the final bombshell that she's pregnant with Steven's baby.
Abi's big baby news understandably leaves Lauren reeling all over again, but has Abi gone too far this time? And can Lauren forgive her?
Speaking about next week's explosive scenes, Lorna Fitzgerald – who plays Abi – said: "Abi is standing there in her wedding dress and she realises that she has really got to say what's going on.
"I think it is a relief for her. She feels like she's got this massive weight off her chest, but Lauren is fuming because she didn't see it coming at all. It's good, it's really good. Abi's hatred towards Lauren has been building for quite some time, so it's explosive how it all comes out.
"Lauren is furious and quite rightly so. I think it's more the fact that her sister could do it to her rather than Steven as their relationship was amazing anyway. It's the betrayal from her sister.
"It gets worked out as much as it can and they have a slight resolve, but I think ultimately the baby will be too much as it means Steven will be around forever. "
EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.
