EastEnders' Ben Mitchell makes pact with Johnny Carter in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow from Tuesday's episode, which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

EastEnders' Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway joined an alliance with Johnny Carter in the show's latest episode.

Charlie Suff has taken over the role of Linda's son Johnny, who returned to Walford last week.

Johnny headed back to the Square to help Linda in her time of need, after being contacted by an increasingly worried Elaine.

Since returning, Johnny has been left horrified by the severity of Linda's drinking relapse and is determined to get her back on track.

He also currently believes that Dean Wicks' ongoing presence in the Square is the biggest source of Linda's struggles, unaware that she also killed Keanu Taylor on Christmas Day.

Tuesday's visit to Walford (February 13), which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer, saw Johnny try to put things in place so Linda didn't leave his sight.

It soon all became too much for her and she was secretly boozing again anyway.

Drunk, Linda later made a show of herself by dropping Gina’s birthday cake in front of everyone in The Vic.

Johnny, who had found out about Gina's brief relationship with Dean, lashed out at Gina for laughing and for spending time with Jade earlier in the day.

Furious, Johnny publicly blamed everyone for not taking a stand against Dean, insisting that Dean was the root of all Linda's problems.

Callum and Ben were concerned by Johnny's angry behaviour and checked in on him outside.

As they talked, both Callum and Ben were sympathetic of Johnny's situation, but admitted that it was hard to know what to do about it.

Ben, who was acutely aware of Linda's trauma, eventually stepped in and promised to help Johnny get rid of Dean for good.

Although Callum tried to protest, Ben pointed out that Linda shouldn't have to see her attacker every day.

He assured Callum that this would all be legal and above board, but what do they have in mind?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
