EastEnders Bosses Confirm Danny Dyer’s Exit Is NOT Permanent

EastEnders fans were rocked by the news that Danny Dyer, who plays the much-loved character of Mick Carter, would be taking a break from the show this year due to ‘exhaustion’.

But after Danny said earlier this year that he didn’t know how much longer he was going to be in the show now that his contract would soon be up, rumours have started flying around the place that Danny’s exit could be permanent – especially after some claimed that show bosses forced him out this time because of 'personal issues’.

Say it isn’t so, guys! We’re not sure we could handle Mick leaving the show – and let’s face it, if Mick goes, so does the rest of the Carter clan.

Well, thankfully EastEnders producers have confirmed that Danny’s short break is NOT permanent.

PRAISE THE WALFORD GODS!

An EastEnders spokesperson said: ‘Danny is on a short break from EastEnders. This was not enforced by bosses, nor has he quit the show. There is absolutely no truth that an exit storyline is being discussed or planned.’

Former EastEnders star John Partridge said Dyer was likely to be under a great deal of pressure while working on EastEnders due to the “relentless” schedule.

He told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “I’m sure he’s under enormous pressure, but I’m sure he has a great response from people in the street.

"I only had a very positive response - from the white van man to the 83-year-old gran.

"But it is relentless, the schedule there can be relentless, and I should imagine if he has got any problems, or anything like that, to try and deal with life outside of that - when you’re there 12, 13, or 15, 16 hours a day sometimes - that can be difficult.”

Fingers crossed we’ll be seeing Danny back on our screens in no time, then!
