EastEnders' Coker Family Go On Holiday Together In Real Life

When you watch EastEnders four nights a week every week it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that the characters on your telly are actual real-life people.

Which is why we didn’t really think twice when we saw a lovely family portrait of Les, Pam and Paul Coker on holiday in Greece on social media yesterday… Until we realised that they aren’t actually related in real life - in fact, the three actors just decided to go away together.

How adorable is that?

Jonny Labey, who plays Paul, took to Twitter to share the gorgeous photo of himself alongside his onscreen grandparents, Lin Blakley and Roger Sloman, with the caption: “COKERS DO GREECE! Happy Birthday Roger! #EastEnders”.

If we didn’t know any better we’d think that the trio were filming an Albert Square spin-off.

The actor also treated his followers to a topless pic of himself at the beach, showing off his impressive abs with the casual caption: “PARADISE!! #Kalogria”, although it’s not entirely clear whether he was describing himself or the scenery…

Lin and Roger are no doubt enjoying some quality time with Jonny as the hunky actor has recently announced that he is leaving the BBC One soap, just one year after joining.

The 23-year-old star reportedly plans to focus on a career in musical theatre after nabbing himself the lead role in ‘Verge of Strife’ during the Edinburgh Festival 2016 this August.

A spokesperson for EastEnders confirmed the sad news to the Radio Times Online, saying: “We can confirm Jonny will be leaving the show later this year. We wish him all the best for the future.”

At least it looks like he has made some friends for life, eh?
