EastEnders' Denise Fox finally confronted over Ravi Gulati affair

Denise Fox has finally been confronted over her affair with Ravi Gulati in EastEnders.

Monday's episode kicked off a hugely important week in Walford as Denise's family and friends discover the truth about her fling with husband Jack Branning's nemesis Ravi.

This major development was foreshadowed last week when Ravi's son Nugget discovered damning text messages from the pair and confided what he knew in best mate Denzel. Before long, Jack's daughter Amy learned the truth too.

The latest episode saw Amy pull a sickie from school as she struggled to accept why Denise would have cheated on her father. Amy started secretly drinking and then lashed out at Denise in front of Chelsea.

When Denise later confronted Amy for her disturbing behaviour, the teen stunned her by revealing what she knew about Ravi.

"You're a liar… You're lying to my dad about carrying on with Nugget's dad," she angrily declared. "All you do is lie and lie and lie."

Denise went into panic mode as she attempted to downplay her fling as being only a silly kiss, leading a conflicted Amy to agree to keep quiet for now.

"It shouldn't have happened and I wish it didn't happen," Denise insisted.

Their talk was interrupted by Ricky returning home with Jack, none the wiser about what they'd been discussing. Later, Denise confided in Amy that she was worried that harbouring a secret would harm the teen's mental health.

Denise realised she'd have to tell Jack the truth when she found Amy nearly passed out in bed after drinking again. Cast member Aaron Thiara, who plays Ravi, has promised the "ultimate drama" when Jack finally learns the truth.

"Expect very EastEnders, glued-to-your-seats, drama. It’s very messy, it’s high emotion. There is a lot to lose and everything is at stake," he said.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
