If there was an award for the fiercest punch in Soapland, it would have to go to EastEnders' Denise Fox after she furiously lashed out at nasty newcomer Keegan in tonight's episode.

Tuesday's visit to Walford saw life seemingly get a whole lot more difficult for Denise (Diane Parish) when she publicly lost her temper with Keegan and hit him in front of the shocked locals.

But come on, could Denise's smack really have sent Keegan flying into the flower bed?

Having already clashed with troublesome Keegan over his disrespectful attitude towards the Square gardens earlier in the day, Denise found herself having a heated showdown with him and his tagalong Shakil Kazemi over his behaviour.

Denise was feeling particularly raw by this point, having endured a difficult meeting with a social worker as part of the adoption process, where she was given a moving update on how her baby son is getting along with his new parents.

As the finality of the situation dawned on Denise, her attention soon turned to Keegan, who was deliberately ignoring her earlier warning to treat the gardens with more respect.

Not one to be told what to do, Keegan soon launched into a spiteful tirade about Denise and Patrick - before going too far and causing Denise to snap.

Several of the Walford locals looked on with horror (as if they've never seen a confrontation before!) as Denise lashed out and hit Keegan, prompting him to, somewhat bizarrely, go flying into the flower bed.

With Keegan threatening to report the incident to the police, time will only tell what this means for Denise - but given the vast number of witnesses, we can't see her being able to talk herself out of this one in a hurry.

Our spoiler pictures show Denise and Keegan clashing, but the real reason for their feud was kept under wraps until transmission. Keegan is certainly a very dangerous enemy to have - and is life about to get even worse for Denise if he presses charges?
