EastEnders fans worry that Stacey's baby could die

The writers at EastEnders must have it in for poor Stacey. In the last few weeks alone, she's discovered that Arthur has a genetic heart condition, had her kids taken off her by social services and now her pregnancy has taken a turn for the worse.

In scenes shown tonight (October 16), it was revealed that Stacey had been rushed to hospital after suffering a pre-eclampsia, meaning her baby wasn't getting enough oxygen.

She is taken in for an emergency C-section but things don't seem to have gone smoothly, as the episode ends with Martin being told there were 'complications'.

Naturally, fans feared the worst..
