George Knight is set to make a huge discovery about his identity in upcoming EastEnders episodes.
In scenes that will air in the New Year, George will be surprised by the arrival of his adoptive parents Eddie and Gloria Knight (played Christopher Fairbank and Elizabeth Counsell) who have come to Walford to build bridges with their son after a decade apart.
However, George is left shocked after Eddie and Gloria reveal the truth about his adoption, telling George he was adopted by a process known as farming — a practice that saw babies sold to parents looking for a child.
The revelation leads George on a path of discovery about his heritage, with the truth seeing him question the identity his parents had imposed upon him since the adoption.

It will also become apparent that Eddie and Gloria are still hiding secrets from their son — leaving George determined to uncover the full truth.
Things will become even more strained between Gloria and Eddie and the rest of the Knight's as Eddie's racist beliefs are revealed, exposing the fractured relationships with his family as they challenge him on his views.
EastEnders has worked alongside a team of experts, and people with lived experience of farming, in order to ensure the storyline has been handled as sensitively and as accurately as possible.
"EastEnders has a rich history of telling challenging yet truthful stories which reflect past and present events," executive roducer Chris Clenshaw said of the storyline.

He continued: "George Knight's storyline will force him to question the identity his parents gave him from childhood as he discovers the true means by which he was adopted."
"It was imperative that we worked with experts and people with lived experience of farming to ensure the storyline is handled as sensitively and as accurately as possible."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
