EastEnders’ Harvey Monroe is set to make a big discovery about his new friend Maya Houssain, in upcoming scenes.
In the last few weeks, Harvey has befriended Maya, with the pair quickly bonding over their love of football – leaving Jean Slater jealous of their relationship.
But Maya’s behaviour has been suspicious in a number of ways, since her character was first introduced.

After Harvey tracked down Maya on social media to get in touch, she confronted him for snooping, and later deleted her account, leaving viewers convinced that she had a secret.
Harvey later opened up about his son Aaron’s extremist past which left things awkward between the pair, before she was seen looking up Aaron's criminal history online.
In this week’s episodes, while watching the football together in the house, Jean catches Maya rooting through their kitchen drawers, looking for something.

This mysterious storyline is set to escalate further next week, when Harvey uncovers a big secret about his new friend.
In upcoming scenes, Harvey and Jean are planning a romantic evening, when he receives a message from Maya.
Harvey makes an excuse before leaving to meet Maya – who reveals that she is selling her home in order to pay her debts.

But the pair’s secret rendezvous is spotted by Freddie, and he then returns to recount what he saw to Jean, who is scared that Harvey is having an affair.
After Maya leaves, Harvey realises that she has dropped a letter addressed to her. But on closer inspection, Harvey is shocked to see that the address on the letter is a different area of London to where Maya previously told him she lived.
Harvey decides to take action and investigate the situation, turning up at the address on Maya’s letter.

He knocks on the door, but rushes inside when he hears a crash, only to come face-to-face with a distressed man – who is he?
Later, Jean thinks Harvey is about to confess that he’s cheated on her with Maya, but she is left stunned when he reveals the actual truth.
Afterwards, Jean tries to convince Harvey that what he plans to do is wrong for everyone involved. But just what is Harvey planning?
