EastEnders hints at Johnny Carter's exit plot next week as he considers a big move away from Walford.

It was recently announced that Ted Reilly was leaving the show after nearly two years in the role of Johnny.

Although details of his exit plot are currently under wraps, upcoming scenes will see Johnny tell his family that he's been offered a job away from London.

With the Carters currently facing a very uncertain future thanks to the scheming Willmott-Brown clan, it's not hard to see why Johnny may consider a fresh start away from the Square.

Whether Johnny accepts the job remains to be seen, but Ted has already filmed his final scenes for the BBC soap – with his exit due to play out over the next few weeks.

So, will Johnny accept the job? And how will Mick and Linda react to the news that their son is considering moving away at the height of their financial crisis?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 22 on BBC One.
