Yahoo News EastEnders' Jack Branning to confront Tiffany Butcher's rapist
EastEnders is setting up a volatile confrontation when Jack Branning comes face-to-face with niece Tiffany Butcher's rapist.
Jack (Scott Maslen) is currently the only member of Tiffany's (Maisie Smith) family who knows she was sexually assaulted during her time on the run with the gang, but has been sworn to secrecy by the teen.
However, events will spiral out control in tense scenes next week after Tiffany once again confides in Jack when she has a run-in with her rapist, the gang member Fraser.
Jack later checks in with Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) to see how Tiff is doing, but manages to twig Sonia's suspicions in doing so. This leads the angry teen to order Jack to back off, after Sonia starts to ask questions.
Her uncle initially agrees, but changes his mind after his own confrontation with Fraser in the park. He eventually calls in his old police contact Muski, who helped him convince Hunter Owen turn himself in earlier this year.
When that line of inquiry gets him nowhere, Jack takes the law into his own hands with another dramatic showdown with rapist Fraser.
Their confrontation quickly spirals out of control, potentially leading to some very dangerous consequences for the former copper. Will Jack be able to get revenge for Tiffany without crossing the legal line?
As viewers know, this on-going storyline will eventually lead up to the return of legendary cast member Patsy Palmer as Tiffany's mum Bianca Jackson later in the year.
EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.
