It looks like EastEnders might be lining up another shock exit for one of the Carters, as Tina will realise that she can no longer care for her mother Sylvie next week.

Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) has been caring for Sylvie, who is living with Alzheimer's, ever since she left her care home last year. But after making an upsetting discovery, Tina will be forced to make an agonising decision about her mum's living arrangements.

The responsibility of caring for her mum and working at the cafe will start to take its toll on an exhausted Tina in upcoming episodes, after she returns home early following a nasty fall on her bike and realises what Shirley's been up to.

When Tina confronts her sister over her actions, Shirley (Linda Henry) admits she's struggling to cope and suggests putting Sylvie into a home again.

Shirley's suggestion certainly leaves Tina with some thinking to do, but is Sylvie (Linda Marlowe) about to leave Walford for good?

The latest news about Sylvie will undoubtedly leave fans concerned about the diminishing Carters, as they appear to be dropping like flies following the exits of Nancy, Linda, and Lee.

More recently, it has been confirmed that Danny Dyer will be taking a brief break from his role as Mick, but we shouldn't worry too much as it looks like he'll be back on Albert Square before we know it.

EastEnders continues tonight (Tuesday February 21) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
