EastEnders spoilers: Janine kills Linda in car crash horror? Plus Kathy discovers the truth about Ben

On EastEnders next week Janine and Linda are involved in a car crash, and it’s the Carter matriarch who’s left on the critical list.

Plus Ben breaks down as Kathy works out the truth about the rape. Full EastEnders spoilers ahead for 6-9 June 2022.

Car crash nightmare for Janine and Linda

Janine is fearing what Linda will say should she get the opportunity to tell her family about the cash bribe. But the chance for Janine to intervene comes when she learns Linda’s car has broken down while out on the road and that she’s turned to drink again after a bust-up with Nancy.

Janine then abandons a plan she’s made to take Scarlett off to visit to see her sister Clare and instead races to intercept Linda. After getting the car working, Janine drives a drunk Linda and Annie home and pleads with her not to tell Mick the truth. But tragedy strikes when Janine loses control of the vehicle and crashes.

In the aftermath of the smash-up, a devious Janine soon reveals her true colours, while the Carters learn that Linda has been rushed to hospital, as she’s in a critical condition and could die.

Kathy discovers the truth about Ben’s rape

Ben is on a downward spiral and will be seen lashing out at new mechanic Dave, before breaking down in tears while on his own at the Arches.

The next day, Kheerat is alarmed to see the state of Ben, who’s spent the night on the premises, and shares his concerns with Kathy.

After listening to what Kheerat has to say, Kathy confronts Ben and puts the blame on him for what happened with Callum. But things become too much for Ben and his reaction results in the penny dropping for Kathy, who realises that Lewis raped her son.

By Thursday, mother and son will be seen finally having a heart to heart about what’s happened, with Kathy encouraging him to go to the police. But Ben refuses.

Lewis, meanwhile, reveals that he was recently involved in a homophobic attack and takes advantage of Callum’s good nature when he asks for help on reporting the assault to the authorities.

Ash’s secret

Suki can’t help but be irritated by Ash’s tone when she talks about Dotty settling in at the Panesars’. And when her daughter leaves the room, Suki decides to search her bag on a whim.

Later on, Ash will be seen asking Vinny for some money. But when he hands over the cash, Suki bursts in and confronts Ash about a secret she’s been keeping. As the truth is revealed, the two women come to blows, while Vinny snatches back the banknotes.

Kim plays nurse

Kim gets a surprise when she sees Howie chatting to Martin, but things go awry when Howie trips over Kim’s bag and injures his leg.

Leaping into action, Kim wheels Howie off to A&E, despite him not really wanting her help. But Kim is insistent: Howie needs to move in with her until he recovers.
