Charity is left reeling after Noah discovers his fate on Emmerdale next week, plus one villager is set to leave, while Leyla’s behaviour arouses suspicion.

Leyla is struggling
A drug-dependent Leyla takes a line of cocaine before breakfast, and her subsequent jittery behaviour attracts Liam’s attention.

And he’s not the only one to notice her odd behaviour: when Leyla is later unable to finish an interview with a journalist, Suzy decides to search for coke in her friend’s bag. After finding a stash, Suzy confronts Leyla and warns her about buying drugs from an unknown dealer. So, determined to make a change, Leyla decides to wash what she has left down the sink.
But it isn’t long before she’s experiencing a slump in mood. And when an eager Jacob calls round at home to discuss university options, Leyla struggles to act normal. However, her cover-up doesn’t fool Liam, who’s now increasingly convinced that his wife is suffering with PTSD.
Sarah decides to leave after Noah’s sentence is revealed
Charity is determined to put on a brave face ahead of Noah’s sentencing, but he’ll be seen refusing to pick up his stuff from her place, claiming to Belle that he doesn’t have a mum anymore.
Sarah, meanwhile, realises that her family has forgotten about her birthday and is disappointed at being constantly overshadowed by Noah and his endless problems.
Charity later turns up at the court to support Noah, but wishes she hadn’t attended when she clocks his reaction. And, following the sentencing, she’ll be seen struggling to hold things together before hitting rock bottom.
In the midst of all this, Sarah decides to leave the village for good. But when Faith catches her trying to hide a suitcase, she messages Charity, who makes a desperate bid to convince Sarah to stay. But will her efforts be successful?
Will’s behaviour arouses Kim’s suspicions
Shady Mike turns up unannounced with news for Will: a man fitting Jamie’s description has been spotted near Hazel’s house. Mike suggests that a DNA test would be their next sensible move in order to obtain hard proof of Jamie’s existence. But Will hates the thought of continuing to lie to Kim.
Yet despite his reservations, Will sets about the task of snipping a lock of Thomas’s hair, even going to the extent of volunteering for babysitting duties, despite this meaning he has to ignore dinner plans with Kim.
Having obtained what he needs, Will is then then left stunned when Mike demands £3000 for the DNA results. So, under pressure, he withdraws the cash from the company accounts in order to pay his contact.
But Kim, who’s already growing increasingly suspicious of Will’s behaviour, looks set to catch him with the three grand in his bag and the haulage company’s bank details open on his laptop…
Amelia is still preoccupied with aesthetics, much to the exasperation of Cathy. But when the image-obsessed teen ends up collapsing suddenly, her friends gather around her in a state of distress.
Amelia tries to convince the gang that she’s fine and claims that she just hasn’t eaten that day. Aware of the risks of the weight gain syrup, Cathy’s unsure whether to take Amelia at her word.
