Zack experiences side effects from his new medication, while Lola discovers more about her past
Lola and mum Emma try to build a relationship on EastEnders next week, but is there enough time to do so?
Zack starts taking his HIV medication, but struggles with the side-effects. Plus, Reiss wants to see Jed long gone, while Nish gets reckless as he starts a turf war with Phil. Who will win in this new battle between the Panesars and the Mitchells?

Lola discovers the truth
Lola learns of an attack at the school that has seen Lexi’s friend Maisie targeted for rude remarks about Lola's failing health. Worried that her newfound online presence is to blame, Lola fears for her family’s safety. But Lola’s world is then turned upside down when she returns to the salon, where Nicole’s true identity is revealed.

In the wake of all this, Lola starts discovering all about her past, but will she be able to accept the truth and what does all this mean for her relationship with Emma, who’s determined to make up for lost time?
Friday’s drama then finds Lola losing track of time as she and Emma look through a series of old photographs. After Lola then almost misses Lexi’s school presentation, she realises she’s spreading herself too thin and decides to scale back on the time she’s spending with her mum.
Zack suffers side-effects
Zack starts his HIV medication, but remains guilty that he hasn’t shared his diagnosis with Whitney, who’s still concerned by recent news about her baby’s health. Rather than reveal his own problems, Zack convinces Whit to visit the hospital for additional testing, but while there he begins to suffer with side-effects from his own medication.
Following this trauma, a struggling Zack ends up breaking down in front of Sharon, but still doesn’t feel able to tell her about the HIV, opting instead to share news of Whitney’s recent Omphalocele diagnosis. Drawing from her own parenting experience, Sharon then vows to be there for her brother, while also advising him to fight for Whitney and the baby.

Whitney, meanwhile, is also having a tough time of it. And after misplacing her scan photo, she dissolves into tears in front of Chelsea, who tries to offer words of comfort.
Nish v Phil
Nish has ambitions to expand the Panesar empire and enlists Eve’s help in reassessing the family’s current businesses. But Suki is irritated by Eve and Nish working together and reminds her clan that she’s in charge.
Nish, though, refuses to listen and sparks tensions with Phil over the possibility of a new business deal. Suki has advice for Nish: stay away from the Mitchells. But he ignores her words and instead enlists Vinny to help wage war on his rivals by taking drastic action.
Phil then storms round to the Panesars’ and accuses Nish, but Suki decides to give her husband an alibi. Yet later that day, revenge is taken when she Minute Mart is turned upside down by an intruder – a reprisal that leaves Nish and Suki rattled.
The pair then have a blazing row, with a concerned Eve later seen trying to console Suki. But Nish remains determined to reaffirm his position as head of the Panesars’ and arranges for Phil and Kat to attend a lunch meeting with him and Suki, where business is discussed in an atmosphere that’s undeniably tense…
Reiss is a man with a plan
Reiss remains jealous of Sonia’s charismatic and free-spirited new lodger Jed, who soon proves to be a hit in the Square when he sets up a community text group.
Deciding to confront the situation head on, Reiss goes over to Sonia’s, only to be left shocked by what he sees. EastEnders isn’t yet revealing what Reiss walks into, but it’ll lead to Sonia desperately trying to reassure him. Reiss, though, is adamant: Jed needs to find a new home.
Sonia will then be seen struggling to find the right moment to let Jed know his time as her lodger is up. So, in the end, it’s left to Reiss to find a way to evict Jed, with Sonia then left touched by his support.
