Chloe is thrown to realise that Mack isn’t going to back down. But she isn’t as surprised as Sarah, who’s overheard the pair’s conversation from upstairs! Mack then tries to convince Chloe to leave, but with nowhere to go, Chloe is determined to stay and not be sacrificed. But just as the secret is about to be revealed, Sarah comes stumbling down the stairs, unable to breathe properly.
Charity leaps into action and orders Mack to call an ambulance for a hyperventilating Sarah. And, once at the hospital, Sarah is wheeled off for emergency medical treatment. As Mack holds an emotional Charity and casts an anxious look over at Chloe, it starts to seem as though his plan to finally tell the truth is on hold. And as Charity voices her worries about Sarah’s life expectancy, a doctor is seen striding purposefully over to them…
Paddy cries on Mandy’s shoulder
Bear surprises Paddy with plans for a double date, but the village vet is in no mood to be socialising and thinks up an excuse not to go. The trouble is that Chas then gets hold of the wrong end of the stick and thinks Paddy is bragging about being single – her next move being to start bantering flirtatiously with Kev the drayman.
When Paddy then feels hurt, Chas puts him in his place about his controlling behaviour and reminds him it’s his choice to remain living with her. But the exchange is overheard by Mandy, who is soon trying to get a bereft Paddy to open up.

Mandy tells Paddy that she knows how hard it can be to move on from someone you still love. Her words are obviously loaded, yet despite them leaving Paddy slightly uncomfortable, he and Mandy will next be seen spending the afternoon together, reminiscing and getting drunk. But Mandy is most definitely wrestling with her conscience as she locks eyes with an inebriated Padster…
Naomi’s honeytrap plan
Ethan complains to Marcus and Naomi that Greg is trying to discredit the complaint that’s been made against him. And despite the obvious injustice of the situation, Ethan reveals that he’s considering dropping the investigation and leaving his job.
But Naomi doesn’t want Ethan to do anything so rash and instead comes up with an alternative plan: a honeytrap with Nate as bait. Agreeing to the scheme, Nate then heads to a bar where he catches Greg’s eye. And with Greg soon offering to buy Nate a drink, it seems the plan is in motion. But will Greg get his just desserts?
Bob’s efforts to support Cathy backfire
Cathy initially enjoys a gathering for her birthday, but the atmosphere sours after Brenda breaks the news to Bob that Cathy has been taking the pill.
As he digests the information, Bob can’t help but be upset at having been kept in the dark. But when he then approaches Cathy and tries to start a conversation about her heavy periods, she flies into a fit of rage and ends up ordering her party guests to leave. Can a blindsided Bob find a way to support his daughter?
