EastEnders star Harriet Thorpe talks Christmas death twist
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders star Harriet Thorpe has weighed in on the soap's Christmas murder mystery.
At the beginning of the year, a flashforward sequence showed 'The Six' (Sharon Watts, Kathy Beale, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Linda Carter, and Denise Fox) looming over a male corpse in The Queen Vic, whose identity will finally be confirmed next month.
Quizzed on what it's like to be a part of this storyline, Thorpe (who plays pub landlady Elaine Peacock) said: "It's brilliant! We've all gone the full Sherlock Holmes, as you can imagine! Everyone in the cast is playing detective, and it's great that none of us know. It's all part of the joy."

The actress, who also appeared in the beloved sitcom Absolutely Fabulous as Fleur, also admitted she "cannot wait" for her first EastEnders festive season.
"I am so thrilled and honoured to be part of this team that creates something so important socially to so many people. It also gives people an escape and some fun at Christmas.
"I'll be tuning in on Christmas Day and find out which of the men is on the floor of The Vic," she said.

Speaking to The Mirror just recently, Thorpe seemingly ruled out Elaine's partner George Knight as the dead man.
"It's irritating if I find a body in my pub at Christmas. Extremely irritating! Because I'll have to clean up the mess. Get out the carpet cleaner! I'd get George to do it," she commented.
These words were then jumped on after Thorpe seemingly suggested George could live until the next day, with the actress being asked if she'd accidentally given away a huge clue.
"I don't know. Not my story," she coyly replied.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
