EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy "speechless" over new project

EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has been left "speechless" over the success of her new project.
The actor, who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, launched the first episode of her new podcast Life With Nat yesterday (April 25), and it has already hit the top of the podcast charts.
Natalie posted a video on Instagram to celebrate the news and spoke to the camera to share her surprise and gratitude.

She said: "Morning all. I’ve just woken up to [fiancé] Marc tapping me on the shoulder… ‘You’re number one in the charts’. I’m number one! It’s ridiculous. I’m number one in the podcast chart.
"Thank you so much for listening. This is going to be fun, honestly, we’re gonna have a right laugh. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m speechless for once. Happy Friday."
In the caption of the post, Natalie reiterated how happy she is with the podcast’s success and wrote: "NUMBER ONE IN THE PODCAST CHARTS. Absolutely ridiculous and I’m absolutely amazed by everyone’s comments and support.
"It just proves that if you love something a lot and have a dream and goal, with perseverance you can achieve whatever you want. Now I need to keep it in the charts."

There was lots of love and support for Natalie in the comments section of her post, including from her EastEnders co-stars.
Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox, commented, "Woot Woot!!!!", while James Farrar, who plays Zack Hudson, wrote, "NUMBER 1 our Nat."
Comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, who front successful podcast Parenting Hell, also commented on Natalie’s post to celebrate her success.
Meanwhile, in this week’s episodes of EastEnders, Sonia and her partner Reiss Colwell found out the good news that she is pregnant.
The pair have struggled to conceive and have undergone IVF treatment, but recent setbacks left them unsure whether it would be a success.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
