Steven Beale's behaviour will get even darker on EastEnders next week as he takes more drastic actions to keep Lauren Branning close.

Steven (Aaron Sidwell) has grown increasingly possessive of his girlfriend Lauren in recent months and is even trying to trap her into having a baby with him.

With Lauren throwing herself into her exciting new position at the mysterious Weyland & Co, Steven will continue to worry that he is losing grip on her – especially with her sister Abi cruelly playing on his fears.

As Abi continues to plant doubts in Steven's mind about Lauren's whereabouts, he researches a creepy way to keep tabs on her via her phone.

With a paranoid Steven now tracking Lauren's movements, his behaviour takes another questionable turn when he invites her enigmatic boss Josh to stay for dinner.

When Josh brings an unwell Lauren home from work, an over-enthusiastic Steven suggests he spends the evening with them, making both Josh and Lauren feel intensely uncomfortable.

The show's spring trailer offered a sneak peek at the awkward dinner scenes, and also hinted that Steven's paranoia could take more dark turns. But just how far will he go to keep hold of Lauren?
