Eastern Brown Snake Removed From Cat's Collar in Adelaide Suburb

The team from Snake Catchers Adelaide are used to collaring their fair share of snakes. But they don’t usually expect snakes to be collared before they get to the scene, least of all by cats. But that’s just what happened on a recent callout.

Ange Broadstock from Snake Catchers Adelaide, who recorded the video, told Storyful, “A woman rang Saturday afternoon clearly in distress … as her cat had a snake caught in its collar.”

Broadstock told Storyful the snake was a highly venomous eastern brown. Luckily for the cat, the snake was found to be dead.

On Facebook, Snake Catcher Adelaide posted the cat owner’s review of their work, “Rang Snake Catchers Adelaide because my cat had a snake caught in his collar. No bull. Super understanding mob. Super quick to arrive and got the snake out no worries.” Credit: Snake Catchers Adelaide via Storyful
