EasyJet 'sorry' as Edinburgh flights cancelled due to 'reasons out of their control'

A number of flights from Edinburgh Airport have been cancelled on Thursday morning.

Budget airline easyJet has cancelled five flights from Edinburgh on Thursday due to 'air traffic control restrictions.'

The airline has apologised to customers and has offered them to change flights or request a refund.

According to the easyJet website, the following flights from Edinburgh Airport have been cancelled.

  • 7am to Birmingham

  • 10.15am to Naples.

  • 10.25am to Standsted

  • 1.35pm to Gatwick

  • 3.25pm to Standsted

On its website, it said: "We’re sorry that your flight has been cancelled.

"This is due to air traffic control restrictions.

"We understand that this will be disappointing news and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to make new plans, so here’s everything you need to know about what to do next. The disruption to your flight is outside of our control and is considered to be an extraordinary circumstance."
