Ed Sheeran cancels tour dates due to injury
UPDATE: Ed Sheeran has been forced to pull out of several tour dates in Asia following his recent injury. The singer-songwriter broke the bad news to fans with an Instagram message on Tuesday (October 17).
"A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future," he wrote. "Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
"I'm waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS - Ed isn't typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged."
Ed's next scheduled tour date after Hong Kong is November 7 in Manila, but - as he mentioned on Instagram - it remains to be seen whether that gig will go ahead as planned.
