Ed Sheeran has finally commented on his mini -doppelganger who took the internet by storm, insisting that she is not his daughter.

The pop superstar has insisted that he’s not related to two-year-old Isla Walton after her picture went viral last week.

After being shown the adorable snap during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Sheeran burst out laughing and was quick to deny being any relation.

“She’s not mine, she’s not mine! I’m telling you,” he said while waving his hands in the air.

The singer added: “It’s mad the kind of things that go viral!”

The youngster’s mother, Zoe, said that her entire family had commented on the uncanny resemblance to the 26-year-old musician.

“My family have all commented before on the resemblance,” she told Sun Online.“But friends didn’t say anything until this all happened.

“They now say they thought it but did not know what to say in case it came across the wrong way and we were offended by it.

She added: “We love it though and are not offended at all.”

Sheeran is still sitting at the top of both the album and the singles charts after his studio album, Divide, was released last month.

Despite being the most in-demand pop star in the world, Sheeran has said that he will stop touring as soon as he has children.

“I don’t want to be touring when I have kids, I want to be like nipping out every now and then and being able to actually be a father,” he said.

“So, yeah, I think I would definitely love kids, I would definitely love all the kids in the world but I don’t want to have them right now.”
