Ed Sheeran and Stormzy nominated for BBC Music Awards

The nominations for this year's BBC Music Awards have been unveiled - with Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, and Rag N Bone Man all in the running.

All three could be in with the chance to win both Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, though they'll face further competition from popular acts Dua Lipa and Harry Styles. However, in a change to last year, there will be no awards ceremony to hand out prizes.

Instead, winners will be announced during a BBC Two programme titled The Year in Music 2017, which promises, according to BBC Music editor James Stirling, to "revisit the music stories of the year, told by the musicians at the heart of them".

The show will be presented by Strictly Come Dancing's Claudia Winkleman, alongside Radio 1's Clara Amfo on 8 December. There'll also be a new performance from Rag N Bone Man, whose album Human marked the year's biggest debut, selling in excess of 600,000 copies.
