It remains uncertain just how busy a transfer window Arne Slot will have in his first summer as Liverpool's head coach.

Rumours have already been swirling about players that could be on the agenda for the Anfield hierarchy when the transfer window officially opens on June 14. Liverpool have been linked with several potential new signings and it is nearly impossible for all of them to move to Merseyside before the window closes.

However, there may be some truth behind some of the speculation that has been doing the rounds over the last few months. How many new signings Liverpool and Slot will want remains to be seen, but some new faces will likely be added to the squad over the next few months.

There is also speculation that some players could leave Liverpool before the transfer window closes. With the uncertainty continuing to swirl, the ECHO takes a look at how Slot's dream 25-man squad for his first season at Liverpool could look.

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Bijlow, Kelleher

There is uncertainty around all three of Liverpool's goalkeepers. Alisson Becker has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but the Reds will likely be determined to ensure their No.1 does not depart this summer.

Caoimhin Kelleher has also been tipped to potentially leave Anfield this summer in search of regular first-team football. However, the Reds and Slot would most likely prefer that the Republic of Ireland international remains on Merseyside.

Adrian's contract will expire at the end of the month and he is increasingly likely to leave as a free agent. It's possible that the stopper could sign an extension to remain at Anfield, and Slot would be wise to have such experience in his squad.

However, all the signs point towards Adrian's time as a Liverpool player coming to an end. Not many goalkeepers have been linked with the Reds in the past, although rumours have recently claimed that Feyenoord star Justin Bijlow could be a target.

Defenders: Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez, Quansah, Colwill, Alexander-Arnold, Bradley, Robertson, Tsimikas

Liverpool will need to have a change in defence this summer. Joel Matip will depart when his contract expires, meaning the Reds are likely in the market for a new centre-back.

But who will that be? Liverpool are considering their options but somebody Levi Colwill is a player who the Reds have previously shown interest in and, should Chelsea decide to cash in on an academy product, but potentially available for transfer.

As for the existing members of the squad, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out of contract in 2025. Liverpool will want to keep both players at Anfield, and extensions this summer - or at the latest the next few months - should be high on the club's list of priorities.

Midfielders: Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Endo, Gravenberch, Guimaraes, Elliott, Jones

Midfield is another area of the squad that has been the centre of transfer speculation. Thiago Alcantara has departed and Liverpool could be in the market for new additions this summer.

Indeed, a defensive midfielder has long been sought after and although Wataru Endo was signed last summer, the Reds could be in the market for a longer-term option in that position. It may be outlandish, but should Liverpool choose to test Newcastle's PSR issues with a bid for Bruno Guimaraes, he would be an experienced, Premier League ready option. That is unlikely, but he'd certainly be a dream option for Slot.

Forwards: Salah, Nunez, Jota, Gakpo, Diaz, Bakayoko

Liverpool currently have five forward options with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. However, there is a sizable amount of speculation about one of those players.

Diaz has been credited as a potential target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Whether an offer gets made remains to be seen, but Slot would likely prefer to have the Colombia international in his squad than not at all.

In terms of potential incomings, Liverpool may be wise to look to sign a possible Salah successor this summer in preparation for when the Egyptian does eventually depart. One player who could fill that role is Johan Bakayoko.

The PSV Eindhoven star has been linked with Liverpool in the past, with the rumours resurfacing in recent days that he could be a target for the Reds. Whether these reports are accurate is uncertain, but Bakayoko is widely regarded as one of the most talented prospects in Europe and would be a valuable addition to Slot's squad.
