The flight takes seven hours and ten minutes and jets off from Edinburgh at 11.30am and lands in Chicago at 2pm CTZ.

On May 3, Edinburgh Airport teased customers on social media as flights took off for the first time this season.

Edinburgh Airport said: "Flights to a certain city resumed today and here are four things it's famous for."

They posted four photos, three shots of the city and one of a deep pan cheesy pizza. It didn't take long for followers to flock to the comments to guess the city.

The following day the airport added: "It's Chicago, the Windy City!"
