Edinburgh Jet2 passengers go viral after pranking unsuspecting friend before flight

A group of friends have gone viral after pranking their mate outside Edinburgh Airport before jetting off on holiday.

Nowadays all the documents you need before going on holiday, apart from your passport, are saved to your smartphone. Whether it be a boarding pass or your hotel booking confirmation.

However, we all have that one friend or parent who is assigned to look after the group's passports and insists on printing out every documents in the event of a technical issue.

When one group of friends arrived at Edinburgh Airport before catching an Jet2 flight to Ayia Napa, they played a prank on one unsuspecting passenger before going through security.

The footage, uploaded to TikTok, shows one man digging a huge poster out of his bag and starting to unfold it after dishing out the passports. As his friends start to catch on and burst out laughing, the passenger unveils a massive Jet2 boarding pass.

The huge 6ft poster with the passenger's name and flight details is almost as tall as the mortified friend who then attempts to fold it back up and is later pictured dragging it around the terminal.

The video is captioned: "Holiday off to a good start," as the unfortunate group member is then pictured posing next to an Jet2 member of staff with the life-size boarding pass.

The video has since been viewed over 130,000 times and raked up 9,000 likes. Users in the comments couldn't help but laugh at the unfortunate passenger. One said: "Best one we’ve seen so far this year." A second joked: "That’s some proper friends right there."
