Edinburgh Primark cafe transformed with special Lion King theme and menu

Primark on Edinburgh's Princes Street has been reimagined with a special Lion King theme for the summer.

The new Disney inspired menu and decor will stick around until August.

The classic animated movie about a young lion cub, Simba, is forced to leave the Pride Lands after his father Mufasa is murdered by his wicked uncle Scar.

Years later, he returns to reclaim his throne. The Lion King is celebrating 30 years in collaboration with Primark.

Expect a host of Lion King themed drinks 'safari snacks' and food on the menu including a kid's lunchbox.

Disney's The Lion King is just now of the iconic themes customers can expect to see while shopping at the retail giant. The most recent takeover was Sanrio's Hello Kitty and customers can expect to be 'surprised and delighted' with many more new and exciting collaborations planned for the future.

The shop will also be celebrating 30 years of The Lion King alongside the cafe. Products featuring key characters from the movie will be on the shop floor in the coming weeks.

Primark Director of New Business Development Tim Kelly said: “We’ve seen an amazing response from customers to our revolving cafe themes so far, so we’re delighted to reveal the next chapter with Simba and Nala in the limelight.

"At Primark, we’re always looking at ways to bring unrivalled in-store experiences to our customers and give them more reasons to visit their local store.

"We hope our customers in Edinburgh love our latest offering, and keep an eye out for the next revolving theme later this year.”

The Lion King cafe is now open in Primark stores in Edinburgh until August.
