EFL confirm Hull City squad list as transfer task facing Tim Walter laid bare

The EFL have confirmed all squad lists across the Championship a few weeks on from clubs confirming their retained lists after the end of the 2023/24 season.

City have 42 contracted players going into the summer though many of those are involved in the Under-21 setup while others like Yuriel Celi, Oscar Estupinan and Will Jarvis are currently out on loan at various clubs.

The Tigers, who appointed Tim Walter as their new head coach at the end of May, saw a host of players depart at the end of a campaign in which they came agonisingly close to securing a place in the Championship's play-offs.

Cyrus Christie, Greg Docherty and Adama Traore were among those players who left the MKM Stadium, along with Billy Sharp and Aaron Connolly, both of whom had short-term deals in East Yorkshire and then all six loan players returned to their parent clubs.

While the club have a host of players under contract, a quick scan of the list shows the gaps in the squad and the task facing Walter and City's recruitment team this summer to get a squad capable of challenging for promotion once again.
