Electric vehicle company relocates to Banbury

An electric vehicle company has relocated from Upper Heyford to two units in Banbury.

Electric Assisted Vehicles (EAV) has taken up residence at units six and seven at the Acre Estate at Wates Way on the Wildmere Industrial Estate.

The two units were leased following a refurbishment programme by landlords Mileway.

EAV's mission is to revolutionise urban environments using sustainable 'eCargo' bikes.

The company has developed an award winning eCargo bike as it encourages communities to embrace new transport.

EAV hope this will help their customers increase their efficiency and reduce their carbon impact, while easing congestion on busy roads.

The firm's project engineer, Lewis Stallard, said: "We have relocated from a site in Upper Heyford, Bicester, to the Acre Estate since consolidating our supply chain and currently have 25 people employed with us on site, whilst we continue working with teams in Asia and throughout the UK and Italy.

"Moving into a newly refurbished site has raised all of our standards and has given us all a boost.

"We've just landed our biggest order to date, and we look forward to sustained growth in the business on the Acre Estate after securing a long term lease."

EAV's move follows two other lettings at the scheme. One was to DB Foods, a national meat wholesaler, while the other was to IST INTECH, a UV LED and UV Lamp firm.
