Ellie Goulding Says Her And Dougie Poynter ‘Have Something Special’

Ellie Goulding has admitted that she still has hope that she could get back together with Dougie Poynter after confirming their split earlier this month.

The two started dating in 2013, but, according to reports, ended up ‘taking a break’ two years later in December 2015.

There were then many more rumours about whether the two were back on or not, before Ellie confirmed the sad news that they had gone their separate ways this month.

She did, though, tell The Sun that Dougie is still ‘one of the most special people in the world’ and that she’s ‘so happy for him’ and his LA success, calling him one of her best friends.

Ellie has now been chatting to heat about what the future holds for her and Dougie, admitting that the pair have something special.

Asked if there was a chance of them getting back on track, Ellie said: “Maybe. I hope so. We have something I know is special and I think other people see it – my friends see it, my family see it.

“My nanna was like, really sad. But I think some things are just, kind of unfinished, an unfinished story. I hope so, he’s a real gem and he’s doing so well and he’s keeping very busy, as am I. He’s a great guy.”

Ellie has also defended herself against recent speculation that she’s had lip fillers, explaining that she doesn’t like needles or doctors, so it’s ‘impossible’ that have ‘done anything like that’.

Instead, she credits her killer pout to the work of her make-up artist Lisa, who creates ‘3D lips’.
