Emergency services have responded to a crash in Lyndhurst this evening.

The one-way system – including Romsey Road, the High Street and Gosport Lane – was closed whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident.

In a statement on social media shortly after 6pm, a spokesperson for New Forest Heart Police: “We urge motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes for the time being while emergency services deal with the incident.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”

At 9pm, police confirmed the affected roads had reopened and again thanked motorists for their patience.
