Emergency Worker Killed Responding to Fire at Kharkiv Market

Ukrainian officials said a Russian strike killed at least one emergency worker and wounded another on Thursday, March 17, as they responded to a blaze at one of Kharkiv’s largest market, which they said that had been caused by an earlier attack.

About 100 personnel responded to the fire and were trying to prevent the flames spreading to nearby residences, according to the Kharkiv branch of the State Emergency Service.
