Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount lands next lead movie role
Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount has landed his next movie role opposite Kingsman: The Golden Circle actress Sophie Cookson.
Laviscount, who plays Alfie in the hit Netflix series, will star in This Time Next Year, which is a rom-com that is being adapted from Sophie Cousens' novel of the same name. Laviscount will play Quinn while Cookson will play his love interest, Minnie.
The story follows Quinn and Minnie, who are born one minute apart in the same London hospital on New Year's Day. 30 years later, they find themselves meeting in the same city despite being very different people.

The movie is being directed by Nick Moore, who worked as the editor of many iconic romcoms and comedies including Richard Curtis' Love Actually and Notting Hill, plus The Full Monty.
Distribution company Protagonist Pictures is handling the worldwide sales and will be looking to find a buyer at this year's Cannes market.
Laviscount joined the cast of Emily in Paris in season two and is still a part of the main cast for the show's upcoming fourth season.

In December last year, Laviscount shared his hopes for his character in season four after the hectic season three finale.
"I personally need closure on certain things, whatever that might look like," Laviscount.
"So I guess with Alfie and Emily, whether it be closure or a friendship or whatever, to explore that? I know it's been explored [a little], but I think their relationship is different than what Gabriel's and Emily's was. So it'd be interesting to explore that. But, like I say, I'm all in for whatever."
Emily in Paris seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 has been confirmed.
