Celebrities including Emma Watson, Niall Horan and Amanda Abbington have thrown their support behind the Yes campaign at the Irish abortion referendum.
The Republic of Ireland is today (May 25) voting on whether to repeal the eighth amendment to its constitution, which made abortion illegal under all circumstances when it was passed in 1983.
If the Yes vote wins, the government will legalise terminations for women who are up to 12 weeks pregnant without justification, and after this time period if there is a risk of life to the woman, a medical emergency or a fatal foetal abnormality.
If the No vote wins, the eighth amendment will remain in place.
For weeks, Yes and No voters have been campaigning across Ireland and social media, with dozens of Irish expats flying home specifically to vote in the referendum, sharing their journeys under #HomeToVote.
And on the day of referendum, dozens of celebrities from Ireland and across the globe have voiced their support to repeal the eighth.
Celebrity supporters of the Yes vote include Niall Horan, Emma Watson, Russell Crowe, Chelsea Handler, Amanda Abbington, Rob Delaney, Bastille, Vogue Williams, Dermot O'Leary, Gary Lineker, Stacey Solomon and even Piers Morgan.
