If you want to be a fairytale princess, then you better drop and give Disney 20.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Emma Watson explained that she went to 'princess bootcamp' in order to prepare for the role of Belle in the box-office destroying Beauty and the Beast.

"I did princess boot camp for three months," she said. "It was fun.

"I got to ride a horse, I got to learn to waltz and then I had singing lessons and then rehearsals."

Where do we sign up?

Jimmy then asked if Emma could still waltz, and she replied: "I could stumble my way through something reasonable."

When Emma spoke to Digital Spy she told us that she doesn't actually believe that Belle is a princess, despite what the marketing might say (and the fact she gets with a prince at the end).

"She's one of the only princesses that isn't actually a princess. I think she was meant to be a departure from the Disney princesses that had come before.

"Belle was meant to break the mould. So I felt very connected to her.

"Belle is relatable – she's trying to move beyond the expectations that people have for her.

"Everyone certainly thinks that marrying Gaston would be the most wonderful happy ending possible for her but she wants more for herself, which goes against the grain and the status quo and that's not easy to do."
