Emmanuel Macron Really Does Not Like Being Whistled At

President Emmanuel Macron revealed how much he dislikes being whistled at during his speech to the congress of mayors in Paris on November 23.

After he spoke about the government’s aim to abolish property taxes for 80 percent of people, there was some discord from the audience, made up of mayors from across France.

Macron responded that, during the presidential campaign, he was “widely whistled at.” He was, he said, “maybe one of the most whistled at. It never disturbed me much. But I have always asked people at meetings not to whistle. Those were activists. I can ask the same thing of mayors.” Credit: Emmanuel Macron via Storyful
