Emmerdale star John Bowe has admitted he's "reeling" over Lawrence White's shock exit as he hints that the door isn't being left open.
The actor broke the news that his character Lawrence is being written out of the show in a series of tweets yesterday (April 27), where he suggested that the information "was already in the public domain".
But in a candid tweet from earlier on in the week, John admitted that he was "still reeling from the door being shut in his face" – adding fuel to the speculation that his character could be killed off.
Replying to one tweeter, John said: "Good luck, Kate. I'm still reeling from the door that's just been slammed in my face. I shall get up, dust myself down, etc. #actorslife"
John had already made it acutely clear that the departure wasn't his decision, but this seemingly confirms that he is unhappy with how Lawrence is being written out – suggesting that the nature of his exit may not allow for a return.
Rumours have been rife for a while now that Lawrence could be murdered by his grandson Lachlan, in a storyline that would also see Emma Barton written out of the show.
However, with Emmerdale declining to comment at the moment, viewers will just have to keep watching to see how Lawrence's story unfolds.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
